Financial aid and scholarship opportunities for deserving students

Higher Education Endowment Fund—HEEF

As approved by HED.
Provider: Higher Education Department, Government of KP

Supports deserving students in four-year BS programmes at government colleges.

Eligibility:

General eligibility begins from the second semester; requires at least 65% marks or 3.0 GPA, father/guardian income not exceeding PKR 50,000 monthly, and no other educational scholarship. Awards target eligible top-position holders.

Zakat Scholarship—Educational Stipend

According to the current approved stipend rate and allocation.
Provider: KP Zakat & Ushr Department, through the District Zakat Committee

Financial assistance for deserving students at government-established or recognized institutions.

Eligibility:

The Local Zakat Committee verifies Istehqaq, and the institution’s scholarship committee endorses the application. Applications go through the Head of Institution; funds are distributed through the institution.

Insaf Female & Orphan Education Card—Orphan Student Support

reimbursed through institutions according to the scheme’s instructions.
Provider: Higher Education Department, Government of KP

Verified announcements cover orphan boys and girls enrolled in Intermediate programmes at public-sector colleges. Colleges collect and verify beneficiary information. Do not advertise general BS eligibility without a notification extending coverage.

Merit Scholarships and Academic Awards

Provider: College Pupils’ Fund, administered by the college

Under the 2023 guidelines, College examination prizes require position-holder status and at least 80% in Intermediate I/II or covered BS/AD examinations; BS coverage specifies semesters 1–7. Subject to approval and available funds.

Eligibility:

College prizes: PKR 2,000 / 1,500 / 1,000 for first/second/third. Board/University position prizes: PKR 20,000 / 15,000 / 10,000 respectively. Intermediate admission remission includes government dues and Board registration.

Need-Based Financial Assistance / Fee Remission

Provider: College Pupils’ Fund, administered by the college

Need-cum-merit remission for 5% of admitted students in each faculty/discipline.

Eligibility:

Committee recommendation and Principal’s approval, subject to available funds.

Fee Waiver for Students with Disabilities

Fee waiver according to applicable HED directives.
Provider: Higher Education Department, KP, implemented through the college

KP’s college admission policy confirms fee-waiver entitlement under departmental directives.

Eligibility:

Students should present the disability documentation required by the relevant authority and obtain confirmation of the covered charges from the college.
